Rozdzielczość 1280 x 1024

Witam,
Nie mogę wyświetlić obrazu z rozdzielczością 1280 x 1024. Maksymalnie 1024 x 768.
Mam Ubuntu 11.10,
płyta ASUS z grafiką wbudowaną, chipset H61.
Proszę o pomoc, jestem zielony z linuxa.

Witam temat jakby przygasł a ja także potrzebuję pomocy. Mam monitor Samsung SyncMaster 913N i kartę graficzną NVidia 9500 GT. Chciałbym ustawić rozdzielczość z którą normalnie pracowałem pod Win7 czyli właśnie 1280x1024 jednak mam wrażenie że graniczy to z cudem. Aktualnie pracuję na wersji ubuntu 12.04.

Kolego;) Gdyby to było takie dziecinnie proste już dawno bym to zrobił;) Domyślnie ubuntu dla mojego monitora nie posiada opcji ustawienia ekranu w rozdzielczości 1280x1024. Próbowałem to robić w ustawieniach grafiki ale tam także nie mam możliwości wybrania tej wartości. Co za tym idzie jak podałem niestandardową rozdzielczość to owszem ustawiło mi tą rozdzielczość. Ale zachowanie ekranu było takie że działało tak jakby pod "lupą" tzn. nie widziałem całego pulpitu ale zaledwie jego część. Kiedy przesuwałem kursor do krawędzi ekranu to ekran się przesuwał. Dzięki za nakierowanie jak mam podawać listingi;)

Myślę że to by mogło wypalić. Gdyby nie to że ubuntu w ogóle nie wykrywa poprawnie mojego monitora. Szukam już od kilku dni rozwiązania też na własną rękę. Ale nic nie pomaga... wczoraj wywaliłem z komputera windowsa bo przelała się czara goryczy... denerwowało mnie to że komputer z programami włącza się ok 7 minut... A czasem człowiek musi coś na szybko sprawdzić. Ale brakuje mi tej rozdzielczości... przywykłem do niej.

Tylko że po tej zabawie jest podobnie a nawet gorzej. Wskaźnik myszki nie pokrywa się z tym co zaznacza wskaźnik. Widzę go wyżej ale jakiekolwiek opcje które zaznaczam są niżej. Nie bardzo wiem jak to wyjaśnić:)

Dla wszystkich borykający się z tym problemem mam rozwiązanie. Aktualnie do wersji 13.04 ale powinno też chodzić na starszych wydaniach.
Zaczynamy oczywiście od zainstalowania sterowników. W moim przypadku akurat była to nvidia. Teraz musimy znaleźć częstotliwości odświeżania dla naszego monitora. W moim przypadku jest to Samsung SyncMaster 913n. Jego częstotliwości odświeżania to:
HorizSync 56.0 - 75.0
VertRefresh 30.0 - 81.0
Następnie wchodzimy w ustawienia "Nvidia X Server Settings". Z listy po lewej wybieramy "X Server Display Configuration". Klikamy opcję "Save to X configuration file" a następnie "Show Preview". Odnajdujemy sekcję "Monitor" po czym odnajdujemy parametry HorizonSync i VertRefresh gdzie wprowadzamy częstotliwości odświeżania dla naszego monitora. Następnie przechodzimy do sekcji "Screen" i odnajdujemy opcję "metamodes". Zmieniamy tam rozdzielczość na taką jaką chcemy uzyskać. W moim wypadku będzie to:
Option "metamodes" "1280x1024 +0+0"
Następnie zapisujemy dokonane zmiany i restartujemy komputer. Okno logowania raczej będzie już w ustawionej rozdzielczości. Jednak po zalogowaniu na profil będziemy musieli zmienić rozdzielczość w ustawieniach "Nvidia X Server Settings" -> "X Server Display Configuration".

To jest rozwiązanie dla użytkowników kart nvidia. W pozostałych przypadkach najprawdopodobniej trzeba będzie odpalić terminal. Następnie wpisać:

sudo gedit /etc/x11/xorg.conf

A następnie dokonać pozostałych zmian analogicznie w wyżej wymienionych sekcjach.
Mam nadzieję że udało mi się to opisać dobrze krok po kroku dla wszystkich którzy zaczynają swoją przygodę z systemem Ubuntu.
