Witam.
Zainstalowałem dzisiaj Ubuntu 8.10 i gdy uruchamiam "Sterowniki własnościowe" to pokazuje mi się okienko wyszukiwanie sterowników, za chwile znika i ukazuje się puste okienko sterowników własnościowych. W skrócie mówiąc nie mogę zainstalować niewolnych sterowników, dodam ze w 8.04 wszystko było ok.
Mam na bieżąco aktualizowany system. Grafika to Geforce 3 128 mb.
zianie Tez mam ten sam kłopot, heh, ale ja czekać nie będę i spróbuję cosik wykombinować:) Zobaczymy czy Envy sobie z tym poradzi;) Także zabieram się do działania:craz:
No niestety Envy jeszcze nie ma, ale to byl chyba moj blad ze tak z tym skryptem wypadlem, poniewaz on nie instaluje nie wolnych sterownikow. Przynajmniej tak mi sie widzi.

Znalazłem, dzięki IRC. trzeba pobrać wersję NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.09-pkg1.run. To jest wersja beta. Wczoraj się ukazała na stronach Nvidii NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.09-pkg1.run (Cholercia, nie pamiętam, skąd je brałem). Ta wersja instalowała się u mnie na Geforce2 400 mx. I działa, tylko compiz się wiesza. Ale to jest beta, więc niedługo będzie chyba w repo.
Napewno tak, o to chodziło bo u mnie poszło, mam GF2MX400
Wczesniej ze strony http://www.nvidia.com naściagałem różności dla old cards i nie można było skompilować modułu dla kernela a z 96.43.09 poszło

Zainstalowałem te sterowniki NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.09-pkg1.run, niby wszystko ok ale też nie mam obramowań okien, zamiast terminala i niektórych aplikacji białe pole
jeżeli faktycznie nie ma tych sterów pod wasze karty,to proponuję udać się na stronę instalacji sterów Nvidii w debianie : http://kaka.ovh.org/howto/nvidia_drivers/ i tam po ścignięciu sterów krok po kroczku zainstalować je.Trzeba dokładniie wykonać te czynności,októrych tam napisano krok po kroczku.Instaluje się je stosunkowo łatwo
Tak, tylko że powyższy sterownik sam dodaje wpis w xorg, co do kompiz, rzeczywiście trzeba dodać następujące wpisy:
w sekcji device

Po restarcie X-ów są okienka w compiz.
W debianie wszystko jest opisane i jakie wpisy w pliku konfiguracyjnym zrobić.Po ręcznej instalacji sterów trzeba tylko zmienić wpis w pliku konfiguracyjnym na nv i tyle,A tak nawiasem mówiąc karty,które macie trącą troszkę myszką dlatego nie ma do nich sterów w repo najnowszego Ubuntu:razz:
