Modem USB ZTE MF821 - instalacja i połączenie sieciowe

Witam. Jestem na tym forum "świeżynką", choć rejestrowałem i przedstawiałem się już jakiś czas temu.
Proszę o pomoc odnośnie problemów z modemem USB ZTE MF821. Korzystam z Internetu LTE Cyfrowego Polsatu. Modem działa bez problemu pod Vistą (wystarczy go tylko podłączyć), jednak Ubuntu go po prostu nie widzi (nawet jako dysku wymiennego USB). Szukałem rozwiązania na innych forach, także na stronach anglojęzycznych i niestety nic nie znalazłem. Internet sam w sobie działa, ale tylko wtedy, gdy modem podpięty jest do routera i kiedy korzystam z połączenia WI-FI.

Karta SIM włożona? Podpinasz modem USB
Jeżeli tak --> uruchom Network Menager --> Komorkowe --> Dodaj
Jak dodasz swoje parametry zapisz
Zamykasz okno
Prawoklik myszy
Uruchom sieć komórkowa
i masz internet :)

To wszystko o czym piszesz już znam (używam Ubuntu od dawna), tyle tylko, że system nie widzi akurat tego modemu. Ale i tak dziękuję.

Próbowałem także z opcją, którą bear7 podał mi w linku. Zainstalowałem polecenie:

i nic.

Nie wiem, może coś w samych opcjach w menadżerze połączeń...?

A co zwraca polecenie:

Próbowałeś bawić się w ustawieniami w NetworkManagerze tak, jak jest to opisane w wątku, do którego link Ci podałem?

Port USB, którego używasz, to USB2.0, czy może USB3.0? Pytam, bo według tego, co siedzi na Launchpadzie, to niektóre modemy mają problem z działaniem pod USB3.0. Z tego co widzę, to osoba, która zgłosiła błąd, korzysta właśnie z modemu ZTE MF821.
