Zmiana szybkości i duplexu interfejsu sieciowego

próbuję zmienić szybkość interfejsu eth2 z 1000 Full Duplex na 100 Full Duplex. Wykonuję komendę:
# sudo ethtool -s eth2po wydaniu speed 100 duplex full
Nie widzę jednak żadnej różnicy po wydaniu komendy:
# sudo ethtool eth2
