System nie wykrywa urządzenia usb po modyfikacji uhci_hcd

Witam. Chciałem korzystać z programatora JS16 do procków freescale przez wirtualną maszynę z win XP VMware działającą na ubuntu 10.04. Niestety, przed włączaniem VMware, gdy wkładałem urządzenie do portu dmesg zwracał:
Po odpaleniu VMware dmesg zwracał:
Przeczytałem na jakimś forum, że dobrze jest odmontować i zamontowac uhci_hcd, więc wykonałem komendę
i od tego momentu, jak wkładam urządzenie do portu usb, dmesg nie zwraca w ogóle nic. Probowałem jeszcze modprobe -r uhci_hcd i potem od nowa, ale nic to nie daje. Proszę o podpowiedź, jak to naprawić i może o jakąś radę odnośnie tej maszyny wirtualnej.
