Jak mogę zapisać wyświetlane w konsoli ustawienia:

Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1280 x 1024, maximum 16384 x 16384
DVI-I-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
VGA-0 connected 1280x1024+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 340mm x 270mm
1280x1024 60.0 + 75.0*
1920x1080 59.9
1680x1050 59.9
1440x900 59.9
1400x1050 60.0

xrandr nie zapisuje ustawień.

Domyślam się, że chodzi o właściwą edycję xorg.conf
Po restarcie system wraca do automatycznych ustawień odświeżania ...

Napisz co chcesz w ogóle osiągnąć.
Podaj kartę graficzną i sterowniki.

Zależy mi na odświeżaniu 75hz.
Z automatu narzuca mi 60hz. Kiedy zmienię z poziomu nvidia x server setting na 75 wszystko jest w porządku do momentu ponownego rozruchu systemu. Po restarcie wraca do 60hz.

wybaczcie, poprawię się

Ja bym usunął ten fragment:

Option         "metamodes" "1400x1050 +0+0; 1280x1024_75 +0+0"

a dodał do sekcji Monitor Modeline otrzymane w wyniku:

gtf 1280 1024 75

i:

Kod: Zaznacz cały

Option		"PreferredMode"	"1280x1024"

jeżeli o taką rozdzielczość Ci chodzi (nie napisałeś precyzyjnie co chcesz uzyskać).
A do sekcji Screen dodał podsekcję z obsługiwanymi trybami pracy np.:

SubSection "Display"
		Depth		24 
		Modes		"1280x1024_75.00"

Musisz pokombinować bo od lat nie zaglądałem do xorg.conf (nawet go nie mam), zajrzyj jeszcze tutaj.

Hmm... wyłączyłem rekomendowany sterownik grafiki i system sam wykrył rozdzielczość
i tempo odświeżania

Teraz wygląda to w ten sposób:
