ASUS N90SV – tylko jeden rdzeń

Witam wszystkich!
Mam problem z ilością rdzeni w laptopie Asus N90SV (konfiguracja poniżej): inxi -Fxxxz
Aby system zainstalował się i uruchamiał w grubie musi być parametr nolapic. Jak widać powyżej system wykrywa Intel Core2 Duo P8700 jako „Single Core”.
Kombinowałem na różne sposoby, szukałem na tym forum, szukałem również za pomocą wujka Google – nie znalazłem rozwiązania. Kernel obsługuje SMP.
Prawdopodobnie nie jest to wina konkretnie Minta – na starym OpenSuse 12.1 wykrywało poprawnie, ale każdy nowszy kernel czy nowsza dystrybucja (próbowałem Minta, Ubuntu, OpenSuse, Debiana, Sabayona, PCLinuxOS) już nie… Wiem, że to forum dotyczy Ubuntu – ale może ktoś w Was ma jakiś pomysł?
Proszę o wskazówki co jeszcze mogę zrobić?
