Witam wszystkich, przejdę od razu do sedna sprawy, chciałem zainstalować sterowniki do X-Fi Fatal1ty te oficjalne od Creative, niestety jest problem wygląda on następująco:
Nie wiem kompletnie o co chodzi, jestem jeszcze z lekka zielony na tematy Linuxa, może ma ktoś dla mnie jakąś propozycję jak to rozwiązać?
W razie czego jest to Ubuntu 8.04

Również mam problem z X-Fi ale z wersją Extreme Gamer.

Instalacja tych sterowników w Ubuntu 8.04 nie działa jak trzeba - uroki zamkniętego oprogramowania...

Sterowniki OSS działają, ale bardzo opornie, aż się nie chce tego słuchać

Gdzieś czytałem, że wersja ALSA 1.17 ma obsługiwać szczątkowo X-Fi ale nigdzie nie mogę znaleźć informacji na temat tego kiedy ma się ta wersja pojawić.

co za łajzy . Karta juz pewnie z 4 lata na rynku a sterowników pod linuxa nie ma. Bardzo lubie Ubuntu ale bez dzwieku musze ciagle przełączać sie na win shit

Nie wiem kompletnie o co chodzi, jestem jeszcze z lekka zielony na tematy Linuxa, może ma ktoś dla mnie jakąś propozycję jak to rozwiązać?
W razie czego jest to Ubuntu 8.04

Z tego co widać to masz problem z kompilatorem. Jądro zostało stworzone za pomowca gcc-4.2.3 a na kopie jest inna wersja. Jak to poprawisz to powinno być OK.

Postepujcie zgdonie z tym przewodnikiem i skompilujcie jadro, ale tutaj bardzo wazna informacja znany wszystkim blad na koniec instalacji sterownika konczacy sie komunikatem "unsacesfull" jest reakcja na niewlasciwa wersje kernela. Kompilujcie kernela z optymalizacja dla 386 lum AMD64 poniewaz podczas gdy ja kompilowalem jadro z optymalizacja dla CORE 2 instalacja konczyla sie takim wlasnie komunikatem bo instalator nie wykrywal procesora. Po kompilacji na 386 jes OK i ciesze sie dzwiekiem z X-Fi.

Niestety za wczesnie sie pochwalilem sukcesem Poniewaz po instalacji nowego kernela nie mialem w steronikach własnosciowych karty nvidii sciagnalem ze strony instalator ktory dokompilowal kernelowi jakis modul do obslugi sterow no i teraz nie mam ani dzwieku ani porzadnego obrazu. PODDAJE SIE:)

poprosze o łatwiejszą intrukcję instalacji tych sterowników dla początkującego użytkownika. Czy obsługują też kartę X-Fi Music ?

Jak zainstalowac nowe sterowniki łopatologicznie:

1. Sciagamy archiwum link powyzej.
2. Rozpakowujemy archiwum w dowolne miejsce
3. Otwieramy terminal -> przechodzimy do katalogu gdzie rozpakowalismy archiwym
4. W terminalu wpisujemy kolejno:

- sudo make
- sudo make install

5. Restartujemy kompa i cieszymy sie dzwiekiem.

Czy ktoś testował te stery?? Jak z jakością dźwięku, obsługą 5.1, stabilnością itd.??

Ze stabilnoscia nie ma najmniejszych problemow, niestety po aktualizacji jadra trzeba wgrywac stery na nowo. We wszystkich aplikacjach dzwiek dziala prawidlowo. Jakosc dzwieku 2.1 jest bardzo dobra. Co do 5.1 nie mam mozliwosci sprawdzenia.

Zciągnołem te sterowniki na pulpit i gdy chcę wejść do tego katalogu przez terminal to dostaję zwrot: no such file or directory i nic nie mogę zrobić. Gdy je rozpakowałem do katalogu dokumenty, też dzieje się to samo. Pomocy...

Nie działa?

niestety nadal nie jest dane mi cieszyć się dźwiękiem. po instalacji nadal cisza. ehh... jakieś pomysły?
