[SOLVED] Zwiecha podczas uprade z Xubuntu 13.10 na 14.04 "The disk drive for / is not ready yet or not present"

Witam
Podczas upgrade systemu nagle wywaliło Xy i pojawiły się komunikaty od Boinc, i zawiesiło mi system. Po resecie na ekranie pojawiają się komunikaty:

i sugestia kontynuować czekanie, przeskoczyć, albo manualnie edytować. Jak dam przeskoczyć to analogiczny komunikat dla /tmp potem komunikat:

(dalsza część tekstu wychodzi gdzieś poza ekran).
Potem mam zgłoszenie konsoli i można się zalogować. Jednak system plików jest tylko do odczytu. Oczywiście Xów niema.
Wykluczam awarię dysku bo można się do niego z live-a (system rescue) dostać bez problemu. Skopiowałem Logi. Załączam skompresowany plik loga dpkg, a poniżej syslog:

Na razie nic nie dłubałem z naprawą na własną rękę, żeby bardziej nie zamieszać. Czekam na Waszą fachową radę jak to posprzątać i przepchnąć upgrade. jak potrzebujecie dodatkowych logów, to wyślę. W katalogu apt jednak nic się nie zapisało, ale może tak ma być? Upgrade robiłem standardowo domyślnym graficznym aktualizatorem systemu.

Ok, finally solved this! The steps I took were to: boot machine with SysRescue CD, mount my root partition and `chroot` to it, run `dpkg` and `apt-get` to fix broken/incomplete packages. There are about half a dozen .deb packages in /var/cache/apt/packages which were corrupt and needed to be deleted.

I had to run through this procedure 3 or 4 times before I finally got it all done. The following code is for reference, don't just blindly run it.

Porównałbym jeszcze zawartość pliku /etc/fstab, z wynikiem polecenia blkid i czy UUIDy dla poszczególnych partycji się zgadzają i czy czasami - z jakiegoś powodu - nie pozmieniały się one podczas aktualizacji. Sprawdź, co zwracają poniższe polecenia:

Miałem podobny kłopot - partycja systemowa przechodziła w tryb tylko do odczytu w trakcie korzystania z komputera - i najczęściej kończyło się to błędami systemu plików. Użycie fsck pomagało - do kolejnego razu. Winne było uszkodzenie płyty głównej. W tym przypadku niby na to nie wygląda, ale kto wie...
