Czyli masz zainstalowany sterownik z repo.

potem jak spyta skąd ściągnąć plugin, wciśnij d, po drodze będzie pytanie o hasło.
Generalnie po tym powinno znaleźć skaner, ale jakby co to pełny zrzut z instalacji będzie pomocny w sprawie dalszych kroków.

Po wielkich wzmaganiach udało się zainstalować hplip-3.17.10.run + plug-in 3.17.10. Wydawało się że jest po problemie, lecz nie do końca. Sterownik jak i wtyczka niby działa poprawnie, widzi urządzenie, drukuje, ale skanować się nie da. Podczas próby skanowania wywala komunikat że nie może połączyć się ze skanerem. Podgląd tutaj:

Dzisiaj właśnie z tym walczyłem nie wiedząc, że na forum jest taki temat.
Też Ubuntu 18.04. Najpierw zainstalowałem hplip i wszystkie dodatki które Synaptic wskazał. Potem próbowałem w oprogramowaniu HP wykryć przez WiFi drukarkę i HP zgłaszał, że nie widzi. Twierdził, że potrzebuje 3.19, a nie 3.17 co jest w repozytorium Ubuntu. Próbowałem zainstalować ten plik 3.19 ze strony HP z końcówką run, ale nie chciał biec.
Wszedłem w związku z tym w pdf readera i sprawdziłem czy drukuje i drukuje.
Także Ubuntu 18.04 widzi drukarkę i drukuje, ale oprogramowanie HP nie widzi własnej drukarki.

Witam, ponownie.
Tym razem zainstalowałem Ubuntu 19.04, instalacja poszła sprawnie i bez żadnych błędów. Na świeżo postanowiłem instalować hplip-3.19.6.run. Instalacja również bez problemów. Na sam koniec wyświetliło się okno z licencją, którą zaakceptowałem. Dalej:

Z uwagi że miałem plugin do tej wersji załadowałem go, próbowałem również aby proces sam ściągnął i załadował, akcja się powtarza jak poniżej:
