GRUB rozwala partycję startową w koegzystencji z Windows7

Czołem!
Próbowałem ostatnio zainstalować Ubuntu 14.04 obok windowsa ale GRUB uszkadza partycję rozruchową, podczas startu komputera dostaję komunikat:

Sytuacja wygląda tak mam dysk ssd z windowsem (SDA) i zwykły na którym chcę linuxa postawić (SDB). Partycja jest wydzielona, normalnie się instaluje. Jako partycję dla programu rozruchowego ustawiam SDA, a punkt montowania ("/") na SDB. No i po resecie rozwala.

Tylko boot repair jest później w stanie naprawić startową partycję windowsa (mbr) ale przy odtworzeniu GRUB'a psuje na nowo :/. Co robić?

Temat poprawiłem.
Tak jak pisałem partycja dla programu rozruchowego to dysk "sda" czyli ten na którym jest Windows7
BIOS. Komputer dwurdzeniowy x64 intel, 4GB ram.

Bootloader Linuksa (czyli GRUB) ma się instalować na początku pierwszego uruchamianego dysku, czyli na /dev/sda
W tym że on nadpisuje znajdujący się tam program ładujący Windows nie ma nic nadzwyczajnego, bo to tak ma właśnie działać, prawidłowo zainstalowany GRUB pozwala na wybór ładowanego systemu, Linuksa albo Windowsa.

Samo się to tam nie zainstlaowało ... TestDisk umożliwia naprawę także MBR Windowsa - znajduje się np. w dystrybucji SystemRescueCD. Po początkowych opcjach masz tam pozycję "Write testdisk MBR to first sector" - wybierz dysk /dev/sda. Działa z Win7 - miałem okazję reanimować taki system.

W BIOS ustaw dysk /dev/sdb jako pierwsze urządzenie startowe.

@marcin1982 Nie miałem możliwości ustawienia innego dysku jako startowego, więc wyłączyłem sda i został sdb. To samo GRUB się wysypał, zgłosił ten sam błąd... tyle że później musiałem pół godziny przywracać MBR :/.

W BIOS / UEFI musi się dać zmienić urządzenie, z którego startuje komputer. Możesz mieć też "Boot Menu" pod którymś "efem".

Co to jest za komputer? Laptop, stacjonarny? Podaj model płyty głównej. Czy obydwa dyski są sprawne i nie pododowały wcześniej jakichś problemów?

Komputer już trochę wiekowy (7 lat), stacjonarny. Płyta GA-P35-S3 Gigabyte. Obydwa dyski sprawne, nie było nigdy problemów, teraz mam to rozpartycjonowane, bo coś tam na dysku logicznym sdb podczas mergowania nie gra, znaczy zgłasza że mogą być utracone dane więc nie ruszam.

W płytach Gigabyte boot menu będziesz miał pod F12. Wybierz tam dysk, który jest wykrywany jako /dev/sdb i uruchom z niego system. Co się stanie?

Jest startowe menu, po wejściu w hdd mam tylko do wyboru SSD (sda) i inne urządzenia (plug in albo coś podobnego). Także ta opcja odpada :/
