Błąd tar zxcf podczas instalacji java

Witam,, sytuacja wygląda następująco. Chciałbym zainstalować jave na swoim laptopie, jednak napotykam na problemy. Pobieram jave z oficjalnej strony, i mam ją w 2 formach: .rpm oraz .tar.bz . Jednak żaden z nich nie chce zadziałać. Pod spodem zamieszczam wyniki poleceń na rozpakowanie rpm oraz tar.bz.

Otwartą java instaluje się w Ubuntu jedną komendą:

sudo apt-get install icedtea-7-plugin openjdk-7-jre

Żeby zainstalować niewolną java trzeba dodać sprawdzone PPA i dalej już z górki:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install oracle-java7-installer
