Do zarzadzania Touchpadem zainstalowalem GSynaptics ale gdy chce uruchomic to narzedzie pojawia sie blad:

Odgrzeję kotleta:

Problem ten sam: zrobiłem co było napisane w tym wątku - zainstalowałem gsynaptics przez apta, dorzuciłem te dwie linijki do odpowiednich sekcji. Gdy odpalam gsynaptics - wyskakuje błąd o braku opcji SHMConfig. Laptop: Thinkpad R61i, Ubuntu 7.10, środowisko GNOME.

laptopy Lenovo (Thinkpady) mają bardzo często trackpointa (taką gumeczkę między G,H,B). Mój też to ma. Niestety, nic z tego co mówiliście - nie pomogło. Touchpad i trackpoint oczywiście działają, ale żadnego z nich nie mogę skonfigurować.

Skoro nie możesz konfigurować przez GUI to spróbuj wpisać konfigurację na sztywno do xorg.conf. Np. taką:

i restart X'ów. Wartości pochodzą ode mnie, a że każdy ma swoje upodobania to mogą Tobie nie odpowiadać. Sprawdzisz przynajmniej czy touchpad inaczej reaguje.

mam podobny problem z touchpadem, no ale znalazłem ten temat i pewno dopisanie tego mała zmiana w pliku xorg.conf napewno dałaby rezultaty, ale problem polega na tym, że nie mogę zmienić tego pliku :[[[[[[ wrrrrrrr wiem, że rozwiązanie będzie banalnie proste czyli pewnie coś wpisać w terminalu albo coś w tym stylu, no ale początki..............

Wpisz w terminalu sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Do edycji plików zawartych w /etc potrzebne są prawa root'a.

Mam laptopa HP 530, touchpad mi działa, ale nie moge przeciągać plików lub zaznaczać tekstu samym touchpadem (muszę używać lewego przycisku), oraz nie mam scroll'a. Z samym linuksem jestem nowy więc proszę o zrozumienie .
