Brak Dźwięku, System nie widzi karty dźwiękowej

Problem jak w tytule,
Mam laptopa Dell Latitude C 640 i Ubuntu 8.04.
Nie mam w ogóle dźwięków, w ustawieniach nie widzi urządzenia dźwiękowego.
Szukałem po innych postach, robiłem tak jak tam radzili ale bezskutecznie...

Jeśli ktoś mógłby pomóc to z góry dziękuje.

Nie... Pozostał mi tylko Ubuntu.
Może coś podczas instalacji się stało... ale to chyba mało prawdopodobne...
Gdy wchodze w SYSTEM>ADMINISTRACJA>TESTOWANIE SPRZĘTU
to nie ma w ogóle testu audio.
A gdy wchodze w preferencje>dźwięk i daje gdziekolwiek na test to wyskakuje komunikat :
