Grafika intela - wyjście VGA nie działa laptop TOSHIBA

Witam forumowiczów!

Mój problem jest następujący: posiadam laptopa Toshiba Satellite A300-14P ze zintegrowaną kartą graficzną Intela. Wszystko byłoby super, gdyby nie to, że nie działa mi wyjście monitorowe VGA (pod windą działa). Wciśnięcie kombinacji klawiszy Fn+F5 nie przełącza obrazu na monitor zewnętrzny. Jak mogę to naprawić?

Dodam, że inne klawisze funkcyjne działają (wł/wył touchpada, i inne) za wyjątkiem klawisza do wł/wył karty sieciowej WiFi, ale to już nie problem .
Bardzo zależy mi na tym, aby VGA zaczęło mi działać, ponieważ laptopa używam w szkole i żeby włączyć prezentacje na rzutniku muszę przełączać system na Windę, a chciałbym ostatecznie z niej zrezygnować na rzecz Ubuntu.

Odświeżam temat - bardzo proszę o pomoc, ponieważ potrzebuję działające wyjście na piątek, do prezentacji z rzutnikiem, a nie chciałbym musieć używać Windowsa

podłącz monitor i wpisz "xrandr -q", możesz spróbować również zrestartować X'y z podłączonym monitorem (ctrl+alt+backspace)

A nie dałoby się, żeby wyjście VGA działało jak w Windzie? tzn Fn+F5 i włącza się ekran zewnętrzny? Bardzo mi na tym zależy
