Nie działa wysoka rozdzielczość

Witam po raz kolejny. Zainstalowałem Ubuntu 8.04 LTS i ponownie jak na wersji 7.10 pojawiły się kłopoty z grafiką i rozdzielczością ekranu.

Mimo wszystko żadna z podanych wskazówek nie działa. Robiłem już:

No to zalogowałem się na roota i to samo :/ Następnie próbowałem z:

Aktualnie karta graficzna to Nvidia GF 7300 GT, monitor 19'' Acera. Maksymalna rozdzielczość 640x380, ew. mniejsza
Niech mi ktoś pomoże bo mnie coś tu trafi zaraz :/

coś takiego się pojawiło. potem zgodnie z zaleceniem magiczna kombinacja klawiszy i...
... i pojawiła się opcja 800x600, która juz raz na jakiś czas 'łapała' przy starcie systemu...
mimo wszystko ciężko na takiej pracować (dla porównania na Windows Xp mam 1280x1024).

W zakładce X server display... wybierz advanced, dopisz ręcznie odpowiednią rozdzielczość. Później apply i save to x....

Nie ma tak łatwo. nvidia-settings działa mi tylko przy rozdzielczości 680x340 i jak się domyślasz widać tylko do połowy okna. za cholerę nie mogę przejść niżej. Dodatkowo te 800x600 ustawiło się przy wyłączonych sterownikach własnościowych nvidii. w rozdzielczości 800x600 pokazuje mi się w nvidia-settings : You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server, bo jest wyłączony sterownik. jak zmienię na 680x340 to oczywiście nic nie widać

Dobra nie wiem jak ale się udało. Zobaczymy co będzie po kilku restartach. Dzięki wielkie za pomoc.

mam ten sam problem ;/ robię tak jak jest opisane i wpisuje sudo nvidia-settings następnie wybieram zakładkę X serwer display configuration; niestety nie widzę tam żadnej zakładki typu "advance". Masksymalną rozdzielczość jaką mogę ustawić to 640x480 i przez to obcina mi połowę opcji w tym menu nvidia. Próbowałem korzystać z tabulatora kombinowałem też na inne sposoby i dalej nic. Bardzo proszę o poradę jak wejść w zakładkę advance w szczególności od stanczaqa w końcu jemu to się jakoś udało ...

Ja proponuje użyć displayconfig-gtk (wpisz w terminalu gksudo displayconfig-gtk) aby skonfigurować sobie monitor (tak aby chwycił rozdzielczość większą niż 800x600). A potem już przy normalnej konfiguracji użyć narzędzi od nvidii do skonfigurowania reszty potrzebnych rzeczy (o ile takie będą).

Upewnij sie, ze masz zainstalowany pakiet restricted-modules. walczylem z podobnym problemem na jednym z moich komputerow -- pomogla pelna reinstalacja pakietow zwiazanych ze sterownikami nVidii, a potem juz standardowo nvidia-xconfig, nvidia-settings.

wielkie dzięki "skoruppa" twoja rada pomogła;) Co prawda troszkę sobie namieszałem w systemie próbując naprawić tą rozdzielczość ale najważniejsze iż cel został osiągnięty.

ja też mam taki problem , konkretniej polega na tym że nie można zapisać ustawień w xorg.info , oczywiście brak ustawień. Proszę o szybką pomoc.

Witam miałem problem ze mogłem wybierać rozdziałke miedzy 320 i 640 ale idąc waszymi wskazówkami doszlłedm do nvidia settings gdzie wpisalem rozdzielczosc jaka bym chcial miec zyli 1024x780 nacisnalem Aplly i potem Save to x... po restarcie rozdzialka jest wieksza ale troche za bardzo wykracza poza monitor. To nzaczy jest tak duza ze wyglada jak bym mial suwak na pulpicie zeby jezdzic po nim bo jest za duzy wie ktoś może jak sobie uporać z tym problemem.

Witam Kolegów, podobny problem z rozdzielczośćią w Ubuntu 8.04 i 8.10 też miałem i nie mogłem sobie z tym poradzić. Idąc na łatwiznę... zainstalowałem wer. 7.10 PL gdzie z menu mogłem wybrać dowolną rozdzielczość. Ustawiłem 1024/768 i monitor świetnie świecił. Niestety po którymś uruchomieniu komputera na ekranie pojawiły strzępy poziomych lini i nic się nie da ustawić. Najprawdopodobniej ekran wrócił do ustawień 800/600 a ubuntu dawało 1024/768 i nie moge z tym nic zrobić. Czy jest możliwość edycji terminala aby zmienić ustawienia i jak to zrobić aby nie instalować wszystkiego od początku?

Witam. Ja mam problem tegu typu ,ze mam podlaczony komputer do monitora poprzez KVM (keyboard ,vga ,mouse). Podobnie jak wyzej koledzy nie moge uzyskac duzej rozdzielczosci poprzez nvidia-settings (max 1360x768). Moj xorg.conf to

podobnie mam problem z ustawieniem wysokiej rozdzielczości, najwyższa to 800x600.
Problem:

Próbowałem stosować się do rad powyżej, jednak nic się nie poprawia po restarcie serwera xów. Czy powinienem dodać, że jest to moja pierwsza styczność z Ubuntu?

Będę wdzięczny za pomoc.

Już nie aktualne, nie wiem jak to się stało ale dzisiaj po uruchomieniu systemu, wszystko działa.
