witam i błagam pomocy,
chcę oglądac filmy na TV ale za każdym razem musze grzebac w ustawieniach kart graficznej, posiadam NVIDIE usuwałem instalowałem jeszcze raz i kupa, po restarcie ustawienia znikają?
co mam zrobić bo juz nie wiem

W sekcji X Server Display Configuration (druga od góry) jest guzik Save to X Configuration File. To spowoduje zapisanie ustawień ekranów do pliku /etc/X11/xorg.conf, do którego by pisać, trzeba mieć uprawnienia roota (stąd gksudo na początku).

Dziwne, przynajmniej od trzech wydań Ubuntu nie miałem problemu z panelem nvidii. Powiadasz więc, że nie zapisują się ustawienia dotyczące telewizora? Wklej zawartość swojego pliku /etc/X11/xorg.conf, obejrzymy go.

Po kolei:

Informacja mówi o niemożności usunięcia pliku xorg.conf.backup -- usuń go sam (albo lepiej, zmień mu nazwę); oczywiście jako root. Nie pytam już czy na pewno odpalasz nvidia-settings z uprawnieniami roota

Jeśli przyszło Ci do głowy użyć go jako gotowca dla swojej konfiguracji, to to nie jest najlepszy pomysł -- trzeba by go poedytować tu i ówdzie.

(Przy okazji, takie rzeczy wstawiamy w znacznikach [ code ] [ /code ]; w przeciwnym razie trudno się czyta).

No i do robienia zrzutów ekranu używamy kombinacji ALT+PrintScreen (o ile w ogóle robimy zrzut ekranu, bo tu na forum utarło się po prostu przepisać treść komunikatu).

Mam nadzieję, że to pomoże. W wolnej chwili znajdę jeszcze parę innych konfiguracji X-ów z moich pozostałych komputerów, gdzie używałem większej ilości wyświetlaczy.
