Trudno na razie powiedziec, chwile dopiero dzialam po restarcie.

Nie pisalem wczesniej a dzisiaj troche poczytalem w necie o procesie kworker/0:0 - mam takich juz teraz na dzien dobry 23 , nepomuk i akonadi wylaczone a on generuje mi ruch na procku.
To co znalazlem, bo problem siega od roku 2008 to tylko informacje wkurzonych userow

Co do "kworkera", to polecam lekturę tej części man`a kernela -> Concurrency Managed Workqueue. Pod moim kernelem nie zrobisz Pan jednak debuggingu przez tracery ... bo je wyłączyłem = zbyt duży narzut na system.

Zapewne nvidia działa "pełną parą" = pełna moc, bo nie działają sterowniki = brak sterowania przez ACPI.

Zresztą ostatnie "stabilne" sterowniki Nvidii ... chyba 304.43 - pod wine obniżenie wydajności tak ze 3 x. Pod maszynami mobilnymi niezła jazda z zarządzaniem energią skoki zużycia ok. 2-5 watt ! jedynie bety 304.22 są oki ... jak mówiłem obecnie najbardziej stabilne sterowniki to Catalysty 12.8 od AMD ... a jescze rok temu to była tragedia

Jeszcze przypomniało mi się, ze właśnie od serii 306.xx Nvidia porzuca wsparcie dla układów GF 6xxx i 7xxxx. Zatem nie tylko AMD taki krok wykonuje.

Zresztą co do sterowników szykują się spore zmiany = mocne przyspieszenie, najbardziej będzie widoczne pod Intelem ... planują nawet podbić o 100 % ich wydajność !!!!! Zresztą pod AMD tez będzie ciekawie = pełne wsparcie OpenGL dla KDE 4.10 [a już teraz pod kernelem Brazos na APU E-350 jest praktycznie cały czas idealnie płynnie] - początek przyszłego roku. Podobnie u Nvidii - choć tu już znacznie mniejsze przyspieszenie - w końcu mają najszybsze sterowniki

. Zaczyna być ciekawie ... koniec tego i początek przyszłego roku to będzie zapewne spory skok wydajności = przygotowanie do 'wysypu' komercyjnych gier dla GNU/Linux

Witam
Mam problem ze sterownikami zamkniętymi Nvidi na 20.1 otóż nie chcą się zainstalować ani tez z repozytorium przez jockeya ani 304.43 ręcznie. To znaczy jockey wywala błąd i odwołanie do loga w którym nic konkretnego nie ma. Natomiast sterownik ze strony Nvidi nie potrafi dezaktywować nouveau mimo że się starają i dodają na blacklist nouveau. Tak jak by nie szło wywalić nouveau. Po odinstalowaniu ręcznie wszystkiego co związane z nvidią, nouveau z synaptica (oprócz jednej paczki która ma pół systemu w zależnościach) sterowniki ze strony się instalują bez jakichkolwiek błędów ale po restarcie i tak odpala się nouveau.
Jakieś pomysły?

Jaka karta?

Przy sterownikach ze strony NV możesz spróbować flagi --disable-nouveau.

UWAGA! W związku z zakończeniem przez nVidię wsparcia dla GF6 i 7 w nowych sterownikach, poczynając od Forceware 306.xx, właściciele tych kart muszą odłączyć PPA X-Updates/X-SWAT. W przeciwnym razie po kolejnej aktualizacji będzie ich czekać przykra niespodzianka!

Dobra poszło, ale w jakiś dziwny sposób to znaczy najpierw musiałem zainstalować jockejem pod genericem i dopiero zainstalowałem 20.1 i na to sterowniki ze strony Nvidii. Coś instalator Nvidi nie radził sobie z powstrzymywaniem kernela przed załadowaniem nouveau.

W związku z decyzją nVidii mam pytanie, także w imieniu właścicieli 64-bitowych 1-rdzeniowców (A64, PIV "Prescott"): Masz zamiar w jakiś sposób utrzymać kompatybilność kerneli ze sterownikami 304.43, tak żeby właściciele starszych, ale wciąż bardzo dobrych jak dla Linuksa maszyn także mieli do nich dostęp, czy uważasz że już nie warto zawracać sobie głowy takimi zabytkami?

Wsparcie dla tych architektów trwa nadal = kernele K8. Co do samych sterowników Nvidii dla chipów 6xxx i 7xxx, cóż z tego co wiem sterownik z serii 304.xx staną się chyba legacy, a zatem prawdopodobnie nie będzie potrzeby budowania specjalnych wersji dla nowych kerneli ... ale to się okaże w najbliższym czasie.

Panowie widzę, że co Developer związany z NV to inną informacje przekazuje. Zatem po prostu trzeba będzie poczekać. W końcu między 302, a 304, jakiś wielkich różnic nie widać ... poza większymi 'wpadkami' niektórych wersji 304.xx

Zatem już wiem ... nie ma wsparcia ani dla sterowników intela, ani nvidi. Proszę Cię Koleżanko jeszcze o wynik glxinfo dla generyka.

RAM: z 6GB wolne 2,7GB
Swap: zero uzyte z 8GB

zrobil mi sie mulowaty

a co by bylo po tygodniu

Samsung RF511 i7, hybryda Intel Sandybridge/Nvidia GeForce GT 555M, Bumblebee - wiec karta wylaczona i stery 304.43 z x-swat, Broadcomm BCM4313 - net wifi caly czas.
Uruchomione standartowo jak u mnie zwykle, kadu, skype, akregator, chromium z 11 zakladkami, opera z 3 zakladkami, ff z jedna zakladka, kate, claws - on potrafi sie czasami zawiesic i powodowac uzycie jednego procka 100%, ale przy muleniu dzialal OK.

Wczoraj wieczorem uzywane Libreoffice/writer i przez Wine MS Word, uzywalem oba na zmiane poniewaz writer mial problemy/dlugo otwieral pliki .rtf, lub wieszal sie nie otwierajac
