Acer Aspire One D257 / Brak wifi

Na początku chciałbym się przywitać, gdyż jest to mój pierwszy mój post na tym forum, a więc... Witam

Teraz chciałbym przeprosić za - na pewno - kolejny wątek tego typu, jednak dwa dni przekopywania internetu i stosowania tych rad które znalazłem nic nie dały. Podejrzewam, że problem polega na tym, że Linuksa widzę "od środka" pierwszy raz na oczy i nie mam pojęcia jak się po nim poruszać - o Terminalu już nie wspomnę.

Czy moglibyście krok po kroku - jak debilowi - powiedzieć co muszę wpisywać w Terminal, aby przynajmniej sprawdzić jaką mam kartę sieciową/moduł wifi i później pomóc mi z rozwiązaniem tego problemu? Wifi milczy. System wykrywa je, łączy się z nim jednak dalej jest po prostu martwe. Podłączam internet z kabla i śmiga aż miło. Restarty kompa nie pomagają - niestety tylko na takie finezyjne zabiegi mogę sobie pozwolić na Ubuntu ponieważ nie ogarniam systemu wcale . Przeprowadzone pełne aktualizacje także nie pomogły.

TL; DR: Komputer łączy się z wifi, pokazuje sieć, przyjmuje hasło, loguje się do niej a gdy wchodzę w przeglądarkę sieć nie działa. Działa, (po wszystko prawidłowo połączone) ale nie działa (Firefox milczy tak samo jak komunikatory i inne sprawy netowe).

Z tego co znalazłem (szybkie wyszukiwanie), to jest to problem z firmwarem dla tej karty na jajku 3.2. Nie znalzłem (przynajmniej na razie), czy jajko 3.5 przynosi rozwiązanie, ale warto sprawdzić. Podłącz tego netbooka po kablu do sieci i klepnij w terminalu polecenie:

Jak system nie poprosi o ponowne uruchomienie, to sam uruchom go ponownie i sprawdź, czy Wifi działa. Powyższe polecenie, powinno zaktualizować system z 12.04.1 na 12.04.2 - sprawdzisz to wykonując poniższe polecenie przed i po wykonaniu dist-upgrade:

Chętnie bym tu skopiował "wydruk" ale pokazało się tyle rzeczy, że nie wiem czy to co bym skopiował stanowiłoby 1/4 całej zawartości ;)

Internet z wifi nadal nie działa :/ - z kabla śmiga. Odpaliłem 13.04 bez instalacji - tam wifi ruszyło bez problemu. Znajomy jednak odradził tą wersję z racji tego, że jest niestabilna i lepiej walczyć/konfigurować 12.04. Prawda to?

Sam mam D257 i się przymierzam do postawienia linuxa ale jak ma mi nie działać wifi to dziękuję bardzo.

Nie, znajomy twój nie ma racji. Powiem nawet więcej. Więcej problemów sprawiało mi wydanie 12.04 jak 13.04. Problem jest długość wsparcia. Na 12.04 mógłbyś sobie siedzieć do roku 2017. Z wydania 13.04, najpóźniej na początku stycznia, będziesz musiał się przesiąść na 13.10. 13.04 wydane zostało w kwetniu i objęte jest tylko 9-cio miesięcznym wsparciem.

No niby jest odpowiedź ale czekam na polskie wydanie gdzie nie będę musiał za dużo się "męczyć" z konfiguracją bo będę od razu mógł oglądać filmy i będę miał wiele innych rzeczy od razu.

Wyszukanie potrzebnych informacji i instalacja - a nawet niech będzie jedna, dwie godziny. Oczekiwanie na wydanie 13.04 polskiego remiksu? Możesz się nie doczekać...
