Tak. System na aktualny i wspierany. Może 12.04.3, bo 14.04 jak każdy pasztet Canonical będzie strawny może w lipcu - sierpniu 2014.

No i? Co Google albo wyszukiwarka forum mówi o projekcie Medibuntu? Gorzej będzie z "4o4 Not Found", pierwszy raz takie coś na oczy widzę.

Bo medibuntu jest nieaktywne. Zerknij w razie potrzeby na temat "Offline Medibuntu DVD..." ale zalecam instalację aktualnego Ubuntu by uniknąć zawiłych problemów ze starociami bo wydanie 10.10 to staroć nadający się do usunięcia.

co skłania ? oczywiście że gnome, to komputer do pracy, jestem przyzwyczajony, na razie wszystko co potrzeba działa - nie zamierzam kombinować.
Mam jeszcze zainstalowany testowo cynamon i kde (12.04) ale to do zabawy prywatnie.
Mieszałem w repo, bo miałem kłopot z draftsight (przy reinstalce nie spełniało zależności itp itd) dałem już radę zresztą.

znam xfce , znajomemu na netbooku zainstalowałem i kiedyś miałem też u siebie.
Jednak Xfec to nie to, latem pewnie zrobię przekładkę na 14.04 i chyba będzie to kde,
ale gnome zostanie na wszelki wypadek - poprostu czuje się u siebie

Nowe Gnome 3.x jest o lata świetlne inne od tego co w Ubuntu 10.10 czyli Gnome 2.32 Jeśli brak Ci we współczesnym ubuntu tego starego dobrego gnome to zainstaluj środowisko graficzne MATE.

a ja mam takie pytanko... czego używasz w gnome2, czego nie ma w gnome3?
używam gnome od wersji 1, też wydawało mi się że trójka jest do niczego, ale po odpowiednim skonfigurowaniu widzę tylkp plusy...
oczywiście classic.
