Zmiana rozdzielczości ekranu po zainstalowaniu sterowników Nvidia;

Zmiana rozdzielczości ekranu po zainstalowaniu sterowników Nvidia;
Witam.
Tym razem problem dotyczy bezpośrednio mnie.
Na wstępie zaznaczę, iż szukałem podobnych tematów/odpowiedzi na moje pytania, jednakże nie uzyskałem zadowalających/poprawnych odpowiedzi oraz podkreśle, że w obsłudze Ubuntu jestem pocżatkujący.
Więc tak:
1) Chciałem ustawić efekty wizualne ( z Brak) na normalne. Zmieniłem, następnie pobrały i zainstalowały się nowe sterowniki do karty graficznej. Poproszono mnie o restart, co bezwłocznie uczyniłem. Po ponownym uruchomieniu:
a) rozdzielczość się ustawiła na 640x480, co wręcz nie umożliwia pracę na systemie. Próbowałem to zmienić jednakże od tej pory są dostępne tylko dwie rozdzielczości: ta, o ktorej wspominałem oraz 320x240.
b) częstotliwość odświeżania : 50 Hz. Bez opcji zmiany. Wcześniej miałem ustawione na 60 Hz.
Szukam porady jakiejkolwiek, ktora by pozwoliła na cofnięcie zmian ( może coś typu windows'owego "przywracania systemu", nie wiem.) lub poprostu ustanowienie odpowiedniej rozdzielczosci i czestotliwosci odswieżania.

Z menu System/Administracja wybierz Nvidia X Server Settings i tam ustaw wybraną rozdzielczość. Powinny być wszystkie obsługiwane.

Re: Zmiana rozdzielczości ekranu po zainstalowaniu sterowników Nvidia;
Wpadłem na to na samym poczatku. Nie pomaga. Nie ma mozliwosci zmiany rozdzielczosci na wyższą, są tylko te dwie dostępne. Nawet ręczne wpisywanie : 1024x768 nie pomaga.
