Ubuntu 11.10, vesa nie obsługuje radeona m7500

Witam, mam problem z sterownikiem graficznym. Na hp compaq n610c nie chce wykryć mi za nic karty graficznej, przez co użytkowanie notebooka pod ubuntu jest tak samo toporne jak pod win bez sterowników.
Nie mam zbyt wielu alternatywnych opcji, ze względu na to iż lapek nie łyka netboota i windowsem z pendrive się brzydzi, jedyne co chce obsługiwać to linuxy z pena.
Miał może ktoś podobny problem? Może przejście na ostatniego longterma coś pomoże, bądź jakiś sposób na instalację windowsa z ubuntu?

Tę kartę obsługuje moduł "radeon". Możesz pokazać zawartość /var/log/Xorg.0.log? Trudno wykluczyć jednak sytuację, w której sterowniki są poprawnie ładowane i z tym układem nic więcej już nie zdziałasz...

ps. wie ktoś jakim sposobem nagrać instalkę windowsa na pendriva, aby startowała z jądra linuxa? coś na podobieństwo instalacji xp przez lanboota, ponieważ jedynie linuxy z pedriva chcą uu mnie startować

k2cl - po poprawnym załadowaniu sterowników otwartych, jeżeli karta nie jest uszkodzona, to powinna dać zupełnie inny wynik 'glxinfo'.

Prosiłem o zawartość logu, a nie uszkodzony link do jakiejś pobieralni. Rzeczony plik nie jest tak duży, by nie dało się go wstawić na forum w tagach "code"...
Pytanie odnośnie Windowsa chyba nie należy do zagadnienia - tak więc, prosiłbym o porzucenie tej kwestii lub przeniesienie jej do innego wątku.

Nie musisz "mieć pojęcia o GRUBie". Wpis który zaproponowałem dodajesz na jedno uruchomienie - jeśli nie zadziała, następnym razem system uruchomi się "normalnie".

Wybierasz z listy wpis, który Cię interesuje (normalny wpis dla Ubuntu, ten który zawsze uruchamiasz), naciskasz "e" żeby wejść w tryb edycji; przechodzisz strzałkami kursora do linii zaczynającej się od słowa "linux", dopisujesz na końcu wspomniane już radeon.modeset=0, po czym przy pomocy Ctrl-x uruchamiasz system z tak zmodyfikowanym wpisem.

Jeżeli idzie o hp compaq n610c - sam posiadam tego lapka i właśnie spod niego piszę. Sam lapek, jak i karta graficzna są obsługiwane bez problemu przez obecne dystrybucje Linuksa. Jedyny mankament, to że sterowniki otwarte nie nadają się do gier w tym przypadku i raczej ze względu na wiek karty, nigdy na otwartych sterownikach nie zbliży się do choćby ułamka wydajności z Windows i sterowników dla niego. Może po prostu Ubuntu ma jakiś problem, sprawdź ewentualnie pod innym distrem - wiem, że pod Fedorą czy Debianem problemów ze sterownikami nie miałem i karta działała od kopa (ew. doinstalowanie paczki z driverem). Nie musiałem nigdy dłubać z dopisywaniem parametrów, a jak wspomniałem, również posiadam Compaqa Evo N610c na Radeonie 7500 Mobile. A na parametry lapka, Ubuntu nie jest dobrym wyborem, szczególnie już z Unity itd.

ps: co do Windows, to po prostu instaluj oryginała z płytki, no chyba, że masz kłopot z "licencją" - w to już nie wnikam.
