Od razu pragnę zaznaczyć, że te objawy pojawiają się bez względu na wersję Ubuntu lub jego pochodnej oraz kernala.
Mimo, iż w tym momencie pracuję na Linux Mint 16 piszę tutaj ze względu na obecność na tym forum kolegi e X t 7 3 , na którego rady liczę.

W tym momencie pobór mocy jest na poziomie ok.10 W , i wiatraczek pracuje non stop (fakt, nie na najwyższych obrotach, ale jednak)
Korzystam ze skryptu APM v3.3 tryb preformance-ondemand (mogę wybrać dowolny, nie ma żadnej różnicy...) bateria trzyma ok 1,5-2h
Przy laptop-mode-tools bateria trzyma ok. 45-60 min
Przy tlp ok 1,5-2h
Proszę was o pomoc, bo już skończyły mi się pomysły... na pobór mocy nie ma względu ilość podłączonych urządzeń.
Dodatkowo podczas uśpienia potrafi uciec nawet 40% baterii... to był mój impuls do poszukiwań przyczyny.

Możesz skalibrować powertop

sudo powertop --calibrate
może to zająć kilka minut, wyłączy ekran na chwile. Potem podaj wyniki jeszcze raz i jak wyjdziesz z powertop to też wrzuć podsumowanie.

Zatem jeśli Ktoś używa budowanych i proponowanych przeze mnie rozwiązań w ramach naszego NeteXt'73, to musi pamiętać o właściwym wdrożeniu poniższych elementów:

Zanim zainstalujesz

Kolejno proszę o testy z wypiętymi wszystkimi urządzeniami USB i po ok. 7-10 minutach w trybie idle proszę o screen działającego PowerTOP w pozycji Overview oraz Tunables, a także logi generowane przez NeteXt'73.

Podano jeśli były instalowane laptop-mode-tools oraz tls to mam nadzieję, że zostały odinstalowane przez "całkowitą deinstalacje" = sudo dpkg -P lub inną formę z flagą --purge.

Co do nastawów APM to one maja kluczowe znaczeni = złe dobranie może zniweczyć całą "koncepcje". Wielokrotnie o tym pisze i mam nadzieje, że zostało dograne zgodnie z wytycznymi:

Przy okazji właściwa instalacja i dobór odpowiednich wersji poszczególnych elementów "układanki" potrafi dać takie rezultaty ... albo dopiero da bo tu testuje moje nowe kernele v28.8 - tu kernel v28.8-i7-pro ;)

Zarówno laptop-mode-tools jak i tlp były odinsatlowane komendą z flagą purge, potem jeszcze autoremove

tak w skrócie, to tryb w którym system nie jest "niczym" obciążony = działa tylko system, środowisko i nic ponadto, wygasza ekran i "odpoczywa". To stan w którym drivery ACPI "usypiają" po części procesor i zasoby systemowe.

Zatem tak ustawienia jak najbardziej oki - co widać w ustawieniach Tunables ... niepokoi mnie jedno = nie wyłącza czegoś na USB co skutkuje takim zużyciem prądu. Jeśli by wyłączył myślę, ze zużycie spadło by o ok 2-4 watty, a zatem z 7.4 do ok 3.4 - 5.4 watta. Na pewno nic nie jest podłączone pod USB ?

Co to za urządzenie 8087-0024 ?

Na pewno nic nie było podłączone w momencie robienia screenów - klawiaturę i myszkę (dwa bezprzewodowe kontrolery) podłączyłam już po wyłączeniu powertopa (ze względu na wzrok i to, że klawiatura w moim lapku ma małą "wadę fabryczną" - hiszpański układ - korzystam z podkładki, aby podnieść monitor i trochę trudno wtedy pisać)
I nie mam zielonego pojęcia co to jest za urządzenie. Jest jakaś możliwość, żeby to sprawdzić? nadal się to wyświetla w Tunables, z tym, że większość wpisów pozmieniała się na "Bad"

Nie gniewam się :) Większość ludzi je popełnia.

Po całonocnym uśpieniu spadło ok. 7 % bateri, ale podczas pisania tego posta, czytaj napisania tego, zrobienia screenów i wysłania ich do internetów, (włączony Firefox i Banshee + podpięte kontrolery) pożegnałam się z 10% baterii... [SIC!!!]

Co do animacji, efektów, to nie będzie miało aż takiego znaczenia. Moje maszyny, albo Kolegi NeBita maja aktywne wszystkie efekty KDE z OpenGL 3.1 i natywnym wsparciem dla Qt, a zobacz na nasze wyniki. Tu nie tedy droga.

Co do zużycia, albo jest jakieś przebicie na baterii, albo coś nadal działa. Niepokoi mnie to USB. Mam prośbę wyłącz w NeteXt'73 Bluetooth w APM i po podłączeniu i odłączeniu zasilania będą działać nowe nastawy. Wtedy dokonaj testu - poczekaj ok 5-7 minut bez podpięcia czegokolwiek pod USB i po tym czasie zrób screen PowerTOP w pozycji Overview.

żeby nie było nieporozumień, zrobiłam test 2 razy - z zaznaczoną i odznaczoną opcją odnośnie Bluetootha w APM (bo nie wiedziałam dokładnie o co Ci chodzi)

Zrobiłam jeszcze jeden test (coś za szybka mi uciekała bateria... Ustawienia jak na obrazku wyżej (zaznaczone bluetooth)

Po jakim czasie bezczynności maszyny robiłaś Koleżanko te żuty ? Mam nadzieję, że dopiero po 5-7 minutach. Tak ustawiałem APM, że wygasza powoli poszczególne elementy - w tym USB - po właśnie w/w czasie [zaczyna "usypiać"]. Zatem proszę o takie wyniki. I proszę odznacz bluetooth to pozwoli na sprawdzenie, czy tu właśnie moduł bth nie trzyma non stop podsystemu USB na pełnej mocy.

Zrzuty robiłam po około 10 minutach.

Moduł bluetooth odznaczyłam.

Jak również nie wiem czy to ma znaczenie, ale podczas drugiego testu włączał mi się bez przyczyny napęd. Nie ma określonego schematu - nie ma w środku żadnej płyty, nie jest wysuwna tacka, ale potrafi sie nagle włączyć, jakby odczytać płytę i się wyłączyć.... Trochę to dziwne...
