Brak połączenia WiFi do routera D-Link DI-524

Witam, jak każdy kto zadaje tutaj pytanie, mam problem.

Mam sobie laptopa z kartą Realtek RTL8101E i system Kubuntu 8.04 64bit. strasznie chciałbym połączyć się z internetem używając WIFi ale utrudnia mi to moja niewiedza oraz wspomniana wyżej karta. Router to D-Link DI-524. Jeśli to ma jakieś znaczenie to powiem, że jest połączony z desktopem za pomocą kabla, a je też chciałem połączyć się lapkiem (wifi)

Przeczytałem kilka artów, ale nadal nie znalazłem odpowiedzi, bo raz to jest nie ta karta, raz coś innego a jeszcze później ktoś mi mówi o jakimś modyfikowaniu jądra

Sprawdziłem ponoć istotną rzecz, a mianowicie po wpisaniu:

powiem, że nowy jestem w tym środowisku i magia w postaci debugowania, jądra systemu i flashowanie biosu są mi zupełnie obce. Jednak nie zmienia to faktu, że Redmond już mi się nie podoba i chcę z całych sił zasilić społeczność Linux.

Powiem że w Kubuntu jest KNetworkManager jeśli to komuś pomoże.

sorki, źle sformułowałem pytanie. Oczywiście chodzi mi o połączenie się z routerem, jakoś zafiksowałem się na desktopie z XPkiem. Połączenie z routerem używając WiFi

Realtek o którym piszesz - to karta do połączeń kablowych (ethernet). Za wifi w Twoim laptopie odpowiada karta intela, o której coś możesz znaleźć np. tutaj

wszystko przeczytałem i zrobiłem. postęp jaki nastąpił to pokazanie się wlan0 jako wireless network device. natomiast mam jedynie komunikat "no wireless network found" . Gdy próbuję w KNetworkManager enable interface to nic to nie daje, za to włącza się ethernet net device.

Czy wiesz dlaczego nie wykrywa żadnej sieci?

Wszystko jest pięknie i ładnie tylko czy zadałeś sobie pytanie: czy ja skonfigurowałem routera ? wiesz że musisz ustalić nazwę sieci i ewentualnie hasło. Bo z tego co nam już napisałeś to masz nie znaną kartę sieciową która jest wykrywana w systemie i gotowa do pracy;]

...czyli interfejs jest wyłączony. Nie wydaje mi się, żeby przekonfigurowanie routera mogło w takiej sytuacji cokolwiek zmienić...

btw. wiem, ze to nie zwiazane z tematem, ale czy uwazacie ze moze sie cos spalic na plycie glownej gdy przez przypadek wklada sie wtyczke USB na portu przeznaczonego do czegos innego (podlaczenie do internetu przewodowego)? Moj kuzyn mi dzisiaj tak zrobil i desktop nie chce sie juz nawet wlaczyc. Stad też moje opóźnienie w odpowiedzi, bo zazwyczaj Kubuntu mam na laptopie i na nim działam, a z desktopa odpowiadam na forum.

kurcze jak wkleiłem te kody to posiliłem się jeszcze aby przeczytać je i poszukać jakichś info pomimo, że dla mnie język jaki tam jest użyty (nie chodzi mi o angielski ) jest cięzki do zrozumienia, ale chyba znalazłem odpowiedź na Twoje pytanie.

Wow, trochę trwało zanim udało mi się zgrać z działającym forum jakoś jak wchodziłem na forum to nie działało.

Wiem, że i tak już mi strasznie pomogliście, ale prosiłbym o jeszcze jedną radę i pomoc. Po operacjach jakie podpowiedziałeś mi w ostatnim poście wszystko fajnie zaczęło działać. Diodka w Laptopie świeci się wskazując że WiFi jest włączone, wykrywa mi wszystkie sieci bezprzewodowe w okolicy, ale mam problem z samym połączeniem. Mianowicie gdy wybieram swoje połączenie internetowe (moją nazwę ESSID) wyskakuje mi okienko z miejscem na wpisanie klucza WPA. Nie ważne czy podaje tam hasło admina czy usera za każdym razem się nie łączy. Zatrzymuje się na 28% i pokazuje mi po jakimś czasie: connection failed.

Router mam ustawiony na security WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK. czy ma to jakieś znaczenie przy łączeniu się? czy Linux ma jakies preferencje co do typu zabezpieczenia?

Kurcze właśnie nie wydaje mi się aby to było tak proste jak mówisz. Próbowałem klucza WPA, w sumie mam jedno hasło jako klucz WPA oraz dla dostępu usera do routera. Nadal się nie łączy. A okienko w które wpisuję wszystkie dane wygląda tak. Może to nasunie Ci jakiś pomysł, bo próbowałem juz wielu rzeczy.



Niestety w kwestiach połączenia z netem, routerem itp jestem noobem, natomiast już w ustawieniach Linuxa i podstawach powinienem sobie poradzić, dlatego to jest pierwsza i pewnie jedna z niewielu rzeczy jakie mnie trzymają przy Vista.

Cóż, network manager (nie używam kde, ale knetwork manager chyba niewiele się od niego różni) bywa czasem kapryśny. Przy takim ustawieniu na routerze, wybór wpa1 jest jak najbardziej prawidłowy... możesz spróbować dodać informację, że to PSK ("WPa protocol"), ale nie wiem, czy to pomoże... Nie używam KDE na żadnym ze swoich systemów, więc trochę trudno mi pomóc Pod Gnome zaproponowałbym instalację programu Wicd, ale nie wiem czy pod KDE nie będzie się to wiązało z koniecznością zainstalowania gigantycznej ilości dodatkowych bibliotek. Jeśli nie, możesz spróbować O instalowaniu Wicd było już w czytelni, mają swoje repozytorium, tak więc instalacja jest przyjemna i bezproblemowa...

A tak na wszelki wypadek - możesz rzucić jeszcze raz wynik "sudo iwlist scan"? Może np. Twoja karta źle rozpoznaje szyfrowanie sieci?
