Używam ubuntu 8.04, karta graficzna geforce 6600gt.
mam do wyboru 2 rozdzielczości: 640x480, 800x600
cel: 1024x768@85Hz + akcelaracja 3d
bardzo proszę nie pisać że to już było, że dawno rozwiązane, bo przeczytałem wszystkie podobne tematy na forum zanim napisałem.
Zainsatlowałem sterowniki własnościowe, są włączone ale nieużywane. nie wiem jak je włączyć?

nawet jak zrobie "sudo nvidia-xconfig" i zrestaruje x.You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server.
System > Preferencje > Rozdzielczość ekranu: 640x480 i 800x600
tego nie rozumiem, przecież wywaliłem te rozdzielczości z xorg.conf!
