Canon PIXMA 550 nie działa.

Witam pod Ubuntu 9.10 nie mogę zainstalować Canona PIXMA 550.
Ściągnąłem sterowniki ze strony producenta rozpakowałem i uruchomiłem skrypt.
Po zainstalowaniu sterowników, program krzyczy, że nie widzi drukarki. Drukarka jest nowa, z tuszami, podłączona i sprawdzałem kabel pod 3 usb.

Drukarka mimo to widnieje jako zainstalowana w systemie. Jak dam opcję drukowania strony testowej to "wirtualnie" ją drukuje, znaczy się pasek postępu idzie ale drukarka stoi. W "Komputer" widnieje ikona podłączenia drukarki przez usb, ale jak dam opcję bezpiecznie usuń napęd to wywala komunikat:
